A proud Chicana born and raised in San Bernardino, California. A natural storyteller from a young age, Deanna channels her passion into her work as an actress, screenwriter, and director. Thanks to her roots and experiences, Deanna offers a unique perspective in all that she does.
A feminist raised by a big, exuberant Latino family, Deanna is your go-to to play and write powerful, independent female leads. She works in comedy, drama, and horror. Deanna uses her points of view to tell and create characters that are more than meets the eye.

Screenwriting
In 2018 Deanna received her MFA in Screenwriting from California State University, Fullerton where she studied under the tutelage of acclaimed screenwriters such as Dr. Anthony Sparks (Queen Sugar) and Dr. Rosanne Welch (Touched by an Angel.) She has a passion for both television and film writing and work in Drama, Dramedy, and Horror. Acting
Deanna has practiced acting at the Actors Studio of Orange County for several years where she studied under the direction of Sonya Cooke through the modern and comprehensive technique known as Seven Pillars Acting. She has also studied at Margie Haber Studio and is currently studying under acting veteran Jorge-Luis Pallo at the HALO: Hybrid Actors Laboratory Optimum. She is available for both screen acting and voiceover. She has also studied Improv at the Groundlings Theatre and School.Podcasting
In partnership with her writing cohort, the Write or Die Chicks, Deanna developed and produced several non-fiction screenwriting and entertainment podcasts. In the summer of 2020, The WODC launched A Bad Feeling Horror Podcast, a horror fiction storytelling podcast. Deanna writes, directs, produces, and edits each podcast working with different software including Adobe Audition, Garageband, and more. Current Projects

Deanna has several film projects in the works at the moment, including a new thriller short, a who done it, and a gorey queer horror. ***

Deanna voices the Pink Thong in Lily Lerner’s comedy, My Thong Talks, premiering later this year. ***
Deanna is currently the showrunner at A Bad Feeling Horror Podcast. Each episode is written in the style of a radio show with Ghoulish hosts and original horror shorts and music. She also voices several characters on the show including Ghoulia, one of the three monster femme hosts. Season 3 is streaming now!
